I’ve been waiting for this to happen. The guys at Northern Outpost have finally taken their gear out of the studio and into First Avenue. Check out this live footage of Mark Mallman’s CD release show. It’s a rare occasion that local shows are captured with quality outcomes like this. Enjoy!

Throw the Fight is one of Minnesota’s premier hard rock bands, and back in June we mentioned that TTF’s lead singer James Clark had begun a battle with testicular cancer. There’s irony here, Clark isn’t one to ever actually throw a fight, and the band has decided to take their music to a new level of support and awareness for people who are battling testicular cancer everywhere. They and others invite you to a benefit show this Friday evening at The Rock Nightclub in Maplewood. Proceeds will go to a fund benefiting Clark and Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation.

A couple weeks back Minneapolis’ Roster McCabe was featured in Billboard Magazine. Truth be told, I’m yet to see Roster McCabe live, but Borangutan’s own Mike Minehart can attest to the quality of their live show.
Even if Mike’s word isn’t enough for you to become a believer, perhaps Billboard’s will be. As far as their concerned, Roster McCabe is one of the best five up-and-coming jam bands in the United States. We’ll add our stamp to that!
