Future Antiques Set To Release “Another Twisted Ending”
So much music, so little time. School has really locked me down these past few weeks, and as the CD stack grows and the music folder expands, I often wonder come May what I will dread more – lots of school work, or lots of backed up music to write about. I know, I know. The latter isn’t such a bad problem to have.
The other day while needing some reprieve from the drudgery that has become my life (how dramatic, right?), I plucked an album off my desk to pop into the the old-school CD player, and was met with just what I was looking for! Something for the warm weather, something for transition, something to remind me why I blog about music.
The album was Future Antiques‘ Another Twisted Ending, and the song “Relapse” brought it all back together, reminding me of so many post-alt era bands from the late 90′s that carved out what being a teenager meant for me. For me this was pure nostalgia, and I even sensed a small touch of latter days (pre-electronic) Bob Mould somewhere in the mix (Listen to the guitars. Love it.)
Future Antiques‘ Another Twisted Ending is a sentimental sounding album, just whispering to be listened to in your most comfortable environment. You can buy the album, sure, but you can also do even better! You can listen to “Relapse” here and then head on down to the Fine Line Music Cafe this Friday night to hear everything Another Twisted Ending has to offer live! I’ll bet you anything your copy of Another Twisted Ending will be waiting there for you too. I also suspect you won’t be disappointed, and to sweeten the deal, the band will be supported by Borang favorites White Light Riot, The Farewell Circuit, and Mercer.
