Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, August 2nd at the 7th Street Entry.
Have you ever dreamed about living in the 60′s? When folk music reigned, love was the ideal, and life seemed innocent. Just before violence, drugs, and war sent us in a destructive spiral. Well, you can get a taste of that hippie inspired life with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, on August 2nd at The Seventh Street Entry. This 14 or 15 member group (not kidding this band could fill a classroom) will elate the soul and relax the mind. Fronted by Alex Ebert (A.K.A Edward Sharpe) and his desire to reinvent the music he played to embody love, honesty and everything 60′s, he attracted the Magnetic Zeros, and together created the bands new album Here Comes (available on MySpace).
Watch Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros play “Janglin Soul”.
