Whippersnappers like me (if I still count, that is) sometimes look upon the music of our mothers and fathers with indifferent eyes.  If mom listened to it, it can’t be helped.  If dad did, it can’t be hip.  This doesn’t mean that it was not, or is not good music.  It just means that few points are to be scored in the school hallway if its blaring on the iPod.  And of course, music isn’t good unless it’s blaring, right?

By the time young folks hit college, most realize the only reasonable response to youthful indifference is a moment of remorse and a lifetime of making up for lost time.  Want to know one way you can make up for a lot of lost time?  See Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer and former member of The Byrds, Roger McGuinn, on either Sept. 16 at the Cedar Cultural Center (Minneapolis, MN), Sept. 18 at the Paramount Theater (Austin, MN), Sept. 23 at Shattuck St. Mary’s College (Faribault, MN), Sept. 25 at the Paramount Theater (St. Cloud, MN), or on Sept. 26 at The Sheldon Theater (Red Wing, MN)
