Harlem Shakes Coming to the Fine Line Music Cafe, May 19

l 975395dde3334a27a52cadd13d8f521c Harlem Shakes Coming to the Fine Line Music Cafe, May 19 When I was in NYC a few weeks back I hopped on the M60 bus from La Guardia and accidentally stumbled into Harlem. There was this bridge, see, and I was supposed to have gotten off before I crossed it. Anyhow, I didn’t, and suddenly there I was in Harlem, entirely unbeknownst to me. It wasn’t such a bad place, although a friend of mine later told me I was in the belly of the beast. What beast, you ask? I don’t even know.

All of this is wholly superfluous unless in the context of Harlem Shakes coming to town. Then it is only half superfluous, and incidentally, I did see a number of folks shaking it in Harlem. People there love to dance. Harlem Shakes likes to experiment. Electronic bleeps, drum machines, indescribable noises. But rock, nonetheless. Give ‘em a listen.
