The Wallflowers are back on the road, but not in promotion of new material as you might hope.  Instead, they’re touring in support of their retrospective “A Collection: 1996-2005.”  In short, a greatest hits compilation of sorts.  Yet do not be dismayed, because they will be visiting Minnesota twice this summer, playing first at the Frederik Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids and then at Lumberjack Days in Stillwater.

Tickets for the Grand Rapids show are $37 while Lumberjack Days offers a more recession proof cost of $10.  Did I mention that Creedence Clearwater Revisited will also be playing at Lumberjack Days, featuring drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford and bassist Stu Cook from the original CCR line-up?  No John Fogerty though, very sad.
