Local singer/songwriter Jeff Hanson was found dead in his apartment complex in St. Paul last Friday.  The Star Tribune reports that Hanson likely died from a fall onto a concrete floor, and the incident has been cited as an accident.

This is tragic news for our local music community, and Hanson will be sorely missed.  The following is in memory of Jeff, a man whose voice was described by Paste Magazine as an “angelic falsetto, a cross between Alison Krauss and Art Garfunkel that’s often (understandably) mistaken for a female contralto.”  Jeff’s voice was as unique and beautiful as they come.  Instead of a moment of silence, a moment of listening for Jeff.
