Punk Rock Prom V: “Pretty Shitfaced in Pink” at The Nomad this Saturday
Don’t be fooled by any local imitators. Punk Rock Prom, essentially the brainchild of The Fillmores, is celebrating its 5th year of punk rock partying with a slightly-formal twist this Saturday, May 1st, at the Nomad World Pub. The Fillmores officially called it quits a few years ago but still reunite every year to serve as the house band between sets for this show, and they’ll be joined by Amen & the Hell Yeahs, The Debut (who have also played at every PRP), The Goondas, Kitten Forever, Reckless Ones, and Teenage Moods.
I’ve been to every Punk Rock Prom but the first one, and that’s mainly because I wasn’t even 21 yet back then! It’s a can’t-miss show full of shenanigrams galore (you could even be crowned Punk Rock King or Queen!) at a price ($6) that fits most any punk rocker’s budget. Don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook for it too!
