Dear Borang readers,

Benefit Concert to Celebrate Glam Rock at St.Olaf
Rock the Cause, the Minnesota non-profit that combines the power of music with the power of giving, has partnered with St. Olaf College to create a concert event that will bring compassion as well as care to people living with AIDS and create hope for victims of domestic and sexual violence. The concert event is part of a new program created by Rock the Cause and St. Olaf’s MEC (Music Entertainment Committee) to empower students to give while discovering emerging musical artists and the history of Rock-N-Roll.
Confirmed musical headliners are: Crash Street Kids (Alice Cooper protégés and Hollywood Fame Artist of the Year winners), along with Roster McCabe, Ready Goes and The Notties. Glitter Ball guests will learn about the work of HOPE Center (www.hopecentermn.org), which provides support to victims of violence in Rice County via a variety of services and programs focused on healing, outreach, prevention as well as education. Concert go-ers will also learn about Open Arms of Minnesota (www.openarmsmn.org), which provides free, nutritious meals to persons living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses at a rate of 260,000 meals annually. Rock the Cause and St. Olaf College will donate 100% of concert proceeds to these noteworthy charities.
