Read What We Read – Twitter Tips for Bands, Warped Tour, and We Became Actors
Today is May 25, 2009, and the word on the street is that a local venue is in some danger, and it’s not The Dinkytowner. It’s more important than that.
Just the other day I visited the Gear Daddies myspace page. They’re an Austin, MN band that had their modest share of success in the early 90′s, but like so many bands, weren’t able to maintain the momentum for the long term. But they’re champs to me, and to this day I hold that Martin Zeller has one of the coolest, most distinct voices in the Upper Midwest. Anyone who has attended an NHL hockey game in the last 10 – 15 years will probably rcognize the following song. I’m not sure if this is an official video, but it is at the very least fully endorsed!
