You know, I really hold no ill-intent towards any band, and I generally focus in on positivity even in the face of failure.  But the more I hear this new Eels stuff, the more I’m convinced all of those Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear fanatics who scream “Best Albums of the Year” can go suck it.  The transformation of the Eels on this new stuff is nothing short of extraordinary, and this music kills over all the fluff I hear every day.

Thank God someone out there is smashing our public psyche with some ole’ fashioned sounding roots rock.  We need it!  Here’s Prizefighter, and can anyone actually tell what is being beat upon in the bathroom?
