The Eels let the dog out in their new video “That Look You Give That Guy.”  It’s an intimate portrayal (indeed, it appears staged) of the band in studio, recording perhaps, but otherwise just hanging around being Eels.  The simplicity seems deliberate, this tune is so good that too much visual noise would only take away from it.

As you will notice, the Eels have grown their beards out, a grizzly transformation reminiscent of the shaggier days of the Beatles.  They had released another video on April 30 when I was out of town, and so it was missed.  That video, “Fresh Blood,” is also below.  Both of these are  wonderful distractions from your spreadsheet, and both are off the Eels new album Hombre Loco.  Enjoy!
